Bio: Louie only has one working leg, but he doesn’t let it stop him. We were actually given a 3-D leg that works well for him, but he does even better without it! He loves to be with the other ducks and was getting picked on at his former home so he came here.
"Marvin" Gaye

Gender: Male
Bio: Named after the very smooth and seductive R and B singer, our Marvin also loves the ladies. Marvin is the twin brother of Dolly. Need some kisses? Marvin got you.
"Millie" Jackson
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Gender: Female
Bio: Millie (aka Millie-Mills) is sassy, just like her namesake. She loves to jump and play with her fellow goats and loves treats.
Kosher
Breed: Yorkshire Mix
Gender: Female
Bio: When Kosher was a little piglet, she was picked up on a highway at 2 in the morning. Today she resides at Loving Acres, enjoying lots of free time roaming the property and living like a pig should live. She is our social butterfly.
Pringles

Bio: Pringle Pig was picked up in a hoarding case a few years ago. Due to her “different appearance“ she came to us to receive extra care. She loves the outdoors, but enjoys coming in to the house at night to sleep in her mommy’s bed.
Peanut

Bio: Peanut is a very talented Zebu. He is a South Asian/African cow. Full grown, he only comes up to my shoulders. He loves the sun and hates the cold.
Leroy

Bio: Leroy was rescued in 2016. He was a dirty, matted mess, but cleaned up well! He’s a handsome, but loud fellow. He loves to snuggle with his humans, and play with Radar. He thinks he’s a herding dog. He likes to impress new friends by holding his ears straight up.
Pearl

Bio: Pearl was our first piggy. She weighed 9 lbs when she joined our family, and she now tops the scales at 230 lbs. She’s still growing. Pearl is smart and loving and loves belly rubs. She will eat anything that isn’t nailed down and some things that are.
Radar

Bio: Radar (aka Radie-dar, Radie, Rooty-Roo, Booty-Roo, Mr. Wonderful, Mr. Perfect, Good One) is the sweetest dog on the planet. He came to our door during a hail storm. He was matted, covered with ticks and very sick. Today he is a healthy boy who loves to give hugs, snuggle, and play with his brother, Leroy.
Captain Jack

Bio: We adopted Jack when he was thrown by a cow and had two broken legs as a result. He has grown up to be our class clown, always willing to play with our visitors and volunteers. His favorite treat is animal crackers.
PJ

Bio: PJ came to Loving Acres from Virginia Horse Rescue. He is approximately 20 years old and came here to retire and eat hay.
Oscar
Breed: Potbelly Pig
Gender: Male
Bio: Oscar came to Loving Acres after he was overfed and became “fat blind” and was unable to stand or walk. He needed a strict diet, patience and love and eventually surgery to remove his excess skin. We are proud to report that he has lost 160 pounds since coming here and his quality of life has improved immensely.
Victoria & Lizzie

Bio: Victoria and Lizzie were our first 2 hens; they came from the 2015 State Fair of Virginia. Victoria is beautiful, friendly, and loves to eat clover; she lays beautiful eggs. Lizzie is also a lovely girl who lays lovely eggs.
Mira

Bio: Mira, short for Miracle was born, premature with undeveloped, lungs, heart, and legs. We are working on getting her a hybrid brace custom made just for her. She loves people and attention and loves it when you sing to her. She doesn’t let her disability stop her from doing anything.

Rhoooonnddaa needed surgery when she was only a couple of days old for a bad break in her leg. We made her bionic by putting a rod in the middle to fix it. She is one tough cookie, therefore named after Ronda Rousey.
Harrison and Elvis

Bio: Where you see one, you see the other! These two twin brothers are always together. They are sponsored by Furbish Thrift, another great nonprofit who raises money for animals in our area.
Barbie

Gender: Female
Bio: Barbie was adopted from Richmond Animal Control. She is a very busy pig, who is an expert rooter. Barbie is very spoiled and loving, but is in need of charm school. She is a bit of a diva, but is learning to have manners so she can come back into the house for snuggles.
Sylvia

Gender: Female
Bio: Sylvia (aka Mouse, Squeakers, Miss Molly Peepers, Baby) was adopted and is a precious little pig, soon to be a precious big pig. She still has lots of time to grow. Her nose looks like an upside down pink heart, making her even more irresistible than she already is. She lives in the house, loves snuggling, sleeping by the fire, and chilling in her warm and fuzzy bed. Sylvia knows how to sit, spin, and come when she is called.
Poodle Pants

Bio: Poodle Pants was found with a family living off grid with no water or electricity. She had pneumonia and was very sick with no access to care. We have since found she also has a heart murmur. Poodle Pants is a star and has been on television several times already! She loves attention. Here she is trying to drive the tractor without an license. Again.
